God’s Word on Healing

Can I rely on God’s Word?

We recommend that you read God’s Word (the Bible) regularly and frequently. Use it like medicine, maybe three times a day!

“God’s Word is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” Psalm 119:89

“It (the Word) will accomplish that for which He sends it.” Isaiah 55:11

“God’s Word is living and active.” Hebrews 4:12

“No word God speaks lacks power.” Luke 1:37

From the Old Testament:

“Praise the Lord, O my soul
and forget not all His benefits,
Who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
Who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” Psalm 103:2

“Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows;
Yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him and afflicted.
But He was pierced for our transgressions;
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The punishment which brought us peace was upon him
And by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5

From the New Testament:

“When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him[Jesus] , and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.’” Matthew 8:16-17

“Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralysed, and he healed them.” Matthew 4:23-25

(Jesus said,) “The Enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but I have come that you might have life, life in all its fullness.” John 10:10

“He himself (Jesus) bore our sins in his body on the tree (the Cross), so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:24
